Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking a Principal Loads & Dynamics Engineer to lead advanced analysis of aerospace systems. You will develop analysis processes, define company standards, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure performance and safety requirements are met.

You will mentor junior engineers, guide design decisions based on data from tests and simulations, and deliver comprehensive technical reports to support program objectives and aerospace excellence.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Typically 12+ years of related experience in loads & dynamics.
• Advanced knowledge in dynamics and vibration.
• Ability to define analysis processes and documentation for multiple programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced analysis and evaluation of loads and dynamics for aerospace systems.
• Create analysis process definitions and documentation for use across programs and teams.
• Define company‑level aerospace principles, standards, theories, and concepts.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide cross‑functional teams to ensure engineering excellence.
• Prepare detailed documentation and reports to communicate findings and support decision making.
