Job summary

Ethernovia, Inc. in San Francisco seeks a Lead Systems/DSP Engineer to design and lead the DSP architecture for 25G+ transceivers.

You will model, simulate, and optimize algorithms, collaborating with RTL and analog teams to drive silicon validation from concept to production. Ideal candidate has 10+ years in DSP/system architecture for high-speed communication, with strong MATLAB/Simulink/Python/C++ skills and deep knowledge of equalization, CDR, phase noise, and channel modeling.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in DSP/system architecture for high-speed communication systems.
• Deep expertise in digital communications theory, including equalization and echo cancellation, CDR, phase noise, and channel modeling.
• Strong hands-on experience with system modeling tools (MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C++).
• Solid understanding of mixed-signal design fundamentals including ADC/DAC, PLL, and analog front-end modeling.
• Proven track record of driving complex systems from concept to silicon.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the DSP/system architecture for high-speed transceivers, balancing power, performance, and silicon area.
• Drive architectural decisions across DSP, analog front-end, and system partitioning.
• Lead system-level trade-offs and provide technical direction across the organization.
• Develop and maintain high-fidelity system models of complete transceivers using MATLAB, Simulink, Python, and/or C++.
