Job summary

Mains'l Services is seeking a skilled Direct Support Professional / Caregiver to join our leadership-aligned team. This full-time position focuses on modeling exceptional DSP practices within the Mains’l Vision, Mission, and Values.

You will work with a Program Manager to keep residential spaces safe and well-run, arrange medical/dental appointments, coordinate transportation, and support individuals toward personalized goals, with ongoing collaboration among staff.

Qualifications

• Act as a role model to DSPs and use person-centered thinking tools.
• Discuss documentation guidelines to ensure consistency.
• Document progression of goals for supported persons accurately.
• Review DSP documentation and inform Program Manager when updates are needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow the IPP and Person-Centered Descriptions (PCD).
• Coordinate activities and routines with people based on their goals.
• Collaborate with teammates to work toward set goals or create new ones.
• Share updated information regarding residents with the team (medical, emotional, behavioral).
• Perform medication administration and counts as required.
• Assist with household tasks as needed for individuals.
• Support ongoing staff training and participate in department meetings.

Are you a skilled Direct Support Professional/ Caregiver looking for growth opportunities?

We are looking to hire a skilled DSP to work alongside the leadership team, allowing you to develop your skills here at Mains'l.

What does a Support Coordinator do?

As a Support Coordinator, you would be acting as a role model and mentor to employees using Mains'l Vision, Mission, and Values.

Working closely with a Program Manager, you will ensure the residential spaces are running smoothly. This includes ensuring a safe living environment for supported individuals; supporting household tasks, acting as contact with medical professionals, scheduling needed medical and dental appointments, ensuring transportation arrangements are made and more.

You’ll also be supporting and collaborating with people receiving services and crew working towards personalized goals and/or creating new ones.

This position is full-time (40 hours per week), schedule to be determined.

The selected candidate will possess:

• The ability to act as a role model to DSPs, utilizing opportunities to engage in person-centered thinking and tools to provide excellent support
• The knowledge to discuss documentation guidelines with coworkers to ensure consistency
• The skills to accurately document the progression of goals as required for supported persons
• The ability to review DSP documentation to ensure accuracy and inform the Program Manager when entries need attention

Additional job responsibilities include:

• Following the Individual Program Plans (IPP) and Person-Centered Descriptions (PCD)
• Coordinating activities and routines with people based on their hopes and dreams
• Supporting and collaborating with people receiving services and teammates to work towards chosen goals and/or create new ones
• Sharing new and/or updated information regarding people receiving services with teammates (medical, emotional, behavioral, etc.)
• Perform medication administration, medication counts, etc
• Perform household tasks (cleaning, grocery shopping, etc.), as needed per individual
• Assist in ongoing training of employees and the training of new employees as directed by the Program Manager
• Collaborate with the Program Manager during staff training and department meetings. Leading staff meetings as necessary
• Assist in the data collection of personal outcomes for FNRC quarterly reports
• Complete all financial month-end documentation (cash balance sheet, Credit Card reconciliation) by the required deadline

Pre-employment requirements:

• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to pass a background check through the Department of Justice (DOJ), and FBI if needed
• Safe and reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• TB (Tuberculosis) Skin Test
• Physical, if applicable.

Pay Scale:

Starting rate: $20.50 per hour .

Maximum Pay Rate: $21.50 per hour based on years of experience at Mains'l.
