Job summary

Charles Lea Center in Spartanburg, SC is hiring a Lead Direct Support Professional to mentor DSPs and support people with disabilities. The role emphasizes leadership, training, and administrative duties to ensure high-quality services and efficient operations.

You will work 2nd shift with rotating weekends, receive paid training, a sign-on bonus, and comprehensive benefits including health, 401(k), PTO, and a wellness clinic.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 and a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years in DSP, CNA, PCA, RBT, Med Tech or caregiver roles preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and Social Security number; ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to Program Managers and DSPs.
• Mentor new employees and assist with training and onboarding.
• Assist with scheduling, coverage, and documentation for licensing and compliance.
• Document services in Therap and monitor medication administration.
• Support daily living skills, transportation, meals, and health-related tasks for people supported.
• Lead monthly council meetings with people supported and upload documentation to Teams.
