Job summary

CTS Technology Solutions, Inc. in El Segundo, CA seeks Lead or Senior DSP Algorithms Engineers to join the Space, Intelligence and Weapons Systems teams, developing space-based communications for national defense programs.

You will design and drive state-of-the-art RF and digital satellite systems, lead a highly motivated team, and collaborate with customers and cross-functional engineers throughout the project lifecycle, including system trades and HDL-level activities.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years DSP / communications algorithms experience.
• 3+ years MATLAB or Simulink experience.
• 5+ years core digital communications and signal processing theory.
• 3+ years systems engineering (requirements definition, allocation, verification, architecture design).
• 1+ years FPGA/ASIC experience.

Responsibilities

• Design next generation RF and digital satellite communication systems.
• Develop and verify multi-rate, fixed-point signal processing algorithms.
• Conduct performance analysis of signal processing models.
• Perform waveform development and characterization.
• Perform trade studies.
• Support integration and test of payloads from unit level to in-orbit operations.
• Support HDL-level design and verification.
• Perform detailed system design and verification activities.
• Lead teams and R&D activities.
