Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a CDL Program Leader to provide leadership for the CDL Program and deliver competency-based training to the Account Management group. The role involves curriculum development, faculty recruitment, and ongoing program evaluation.

The successful candidate will oversee student advising, monitor student outcomes, and drive improvements to campus effectiveness plans within a dynamic learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL License is required.
• 5 years of industry experience in instruction.
• 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role.
• Ability to qualify as a CDL Driver /Driver Trainer.
• Knowledge of faculty development and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CDL Program and report to Area Manager/Regional Program Director.
• Develop, revise, and implement curriculum in coordination with stakeholders.
• Deliver face-to-face product knowledge training to Account Management using centralized materials.
• Hire, orient, develop, evaluate, and recognize Driver Trainers within the programs.
• Coordinate faculty meetings and monitor student population within the program.
• Advise students during provisional period and respond to complaints.

Job description

• Reporting to the Area Manager/Regional Program Director, providing leadership for the CDL Program.
• Providing subject matter expertise and actively participating in curriculum development, revision and implementation.
• Delivering face‑to‑face product knowledge training to the Account Management group using centralized curriculum materials.
• Hiring, assigning, orienting, developing, evaluating, and recognizing Driver Trainers within the program(s) of study.
• Convening faculty meetings regularly.
• Monitoring and supporting the student population within the program of study.
• Advising students during the provisional period, responding to complaints, and playing an active role in the student advising process.
• Analyzing student population data to identify at‑risk students and providing support and information concerning student services.
• Engaging in continuous improvement of the program and developing campus effectiveness plans.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• CDL License.
• 5 years of industry experience in the field of instruction.
• 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role.
• Ability to qualify as a CDL Driver /Driver Trainer.
• Knowledge regarding faculty development, including requirements, delivery methods, and reporting.
