We are seeking a dedicated Lead Driver to join our team at E.A. Sween. As a family-oriented company, we value our employees and strive to maintain a supportive work environment. The Lead Driver will assist in coordinating daily distributions, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products, and training new drivers.

Job Details

The Lead Driver will support the Distribution Supervisor in route management and safety compliance, oversee vehicle maintenance, and promote safety standards in accordance with OSHA and HACCP regulations.

Compensation: $29.50 per hour

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to all processes including manifests, FER’s, DOT logs, and tablet usage.
  • Assist in driver training and coaching.
  • Monitor fleet condition and cleanliness.
  • Participate in safety meetings and report hazards.
  • Handle incident reports and contact Fleet Response as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License and compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Effective communication skills and team player attitude.
  • Good MVR standing.
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and support 24/7 operations.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Work in temperatures between 35°F and 75°F.
  • Lift/carry up to 75 pounds, push/pull up to 250 pounds.
  • Perform frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and squatting.
  • Work in a fast-paced, nighttime environment.
