Job summary

Weston & Sampson is seeking a licensed Drinking Water Operator to supervise and perform operations and maintenance for Massachusetts Public Water Systems. Travel is expected in the South Shore area. The role brings opportunities for growth within a large, employee-owned firm.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in drinking water treatment and hold MA Grade 2 or higher licenses for both treatment and distribution, plus a MA driving license. A company vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in drinking water treatment.
• Massachusetts Drinking Water Treatment Operator license – Grade 2 or higher.
• Massachusetts Drinking Water Distribution Operator license – Grade 2 or higher.
• Valid Commonwealth of Massachusetts motor vehicle license.
• Basic mechanical and electrical repair experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain municipal and/or private drinking water treatment & distribution systems.
• Preventive maintenance and repair of treatment equipment.
• Water quality sampling and testing.
