Job summary

Nathan James is seeking a Lead Driver to manage drayage and local transportation in the Reno-Sparks area. You will oversee NJ’s equipment and be responsible for metrics on drayage and transfers between local facilities.

Expect to safely operate Class A vehicles, perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, and coordinate with drivers and vendors to ensure on-time deliveries. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and DOT medical certification.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience with drayage, ports, and container movements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A tractors in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Coordinate drayage from Oakland Port to Reno-Sparks facilities.
• Transfer product and equipment between company facilities as needed.
• Maintain and inspect equipment and report defects or maintenance needs.
