Responsibilities

On Noblis’ energy and sustainability team, we are dedicated to addressing our planet’s biggest energy challenges. We are seeking a professional who will be a member of our team supporting Federal government partners, including the Office of the Secretary of War. Our team conducts analyses that inform the development of policy and provides subject matter expertise in support of operational energy initiatives across the Department of War.

Energy Contested Logistics and Wargame Specialist

As an Energy Contested Logistics and Wargame Specialist on our team, you will support a number of efforts, including campaign modeling analysis, assessment of current and future operational concepts, statistical analysis, and assist clients with decision-making efforts. You will engage in other initiatives as well, such as policy analysis and coordination with Components across DoW.

Responsibilities
  • Assess Military Service and Combatant Command wargames and provide analysis of results.
  • Analyze operational energy requirement demands, sustainment capabilities, and risk/mitigation actions to operational energy logistics
  • Participate in wargames and exercises to ensure energy limitations are accounted for.
  • Provide assessments of energy constraints in wargames and exercises.
  • Coordinate between government agencies to ensure consistent data collection and standardization.
  • Support reports to Congress on results from wargames and exercises as needed.
  • Work with Service and Combatant Command staff to provide accurate summaries and information reports to senior leadership on the outcome of games.
  • Travel to wargame and exercise locations to participate in activities as needed.
Required Qualifications
Requirements for All Levels
  • US Citizenship is required. Active Secret clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI.
Mid Level
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, public administration, environmental science, sustainability, energy policy, or other relevant fields
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of government energy resilience initiatives
  • Experience with DoW Wargames, models, and data collection systems
  • Salary Range: $86,800 - $156,050 (top of range represents candidates with TS clearance or above)
Senior Level
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, public administration, environmental science, sustainability, energy policy, or other relevant fields
  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of government energy resilience initiatives
  • Experience with DoW Wargames, models, and data collection systems
  • Salary Range: $115,500 - $207,750 (top of range represents candidates with TS clearance or above)
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in engineering, public administration, environmental science, sustainability, energy policy, or other relevant fields
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Expertise in DoD energy wargame models, such as the Synthetic Theatre Operation Research Model (STORM)
  • Knowledge of Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) and the energy key performance parameter (eKPP)

Compensation

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
