Job description

Position Summary

The Dosing Session Facilitator plays a critical role in supporting participants enrolled in psychedelic clinical trials. This individual will provide a safe, compassionate, and supportive presence throughout preparation, dosing, and integration sessions while ensuring adherence to study protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, regulatory requirements, and site standard operating procedures.

The ideal candidate possesses experience in psychedelic-assisted therapy and/or psychedelic clinical research, demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills, and understands the unique psychological and emotional needs of participants undergoing psychedelic experiences within a research setting.

Key Responsibilities
Participant Support
  • Establish rapport and therapeutic alliance with study participants throughout the trial.
  • Conduct participant preparation sessions in accordance with study protocol.
  • Support participants during dosing sessions by maintaining a calm, non-directive, and participant-centered environment.
  • Monitor participant well-being throughout dosing visits and promptly communicate concerns to study investigators and medical staff.
  • Facilitate post-dosing debriefing and integration sessions as required by protocol.
  • Maintain participant confidentiality and uphold ethical standards at all times.
Clinical Trial Conduct
  • Adhere to study protocols, GCP guidelines, IRB requirements, and site SOPs.
  • Accurately complete study documentation, source documents, and dosing session records.
  • Assist in collection and reporting of participant-reported outcomes and study assessments.
  • Maintain protocol compliance and ensure all activities are appropriately documented.
  • Support regulatory inspections, monitoring visits, audits, and quality assurance activities as needed.
Safety Monitoring
  • Observe and document participant responses during dosing sessions.
  • Escalate adverse events, safety concerns, or protocol deviations according to established procedures.
  • Collaborate with investigators, coordinators, and medical personnel to ensure participant safety.
  • Maintain readiness to respond appropriately during challenging psychological experiences under investigator guidance.
Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with investigators, study coordinators, therapists, raters, and sponsors.
  • Participate in protocol training, study meetings, and ongoing professional development.
  • Contribute to a culture of participant-centered care, scientific integrity, and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be a licensed healthcare provider with professional training and clinical experience in psychotherapy who is fully licensed to independently provide care within the scope of their practice (e.g. MD, psychiatric NP, PsyD, LCPC, LMFT, LCSW).
  • Demonstrated experience supporting participants in psychedelic-assisted therapy programs, psychedelic clinical trials, or related consciousness-focused therapeutic settings.
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial protocols, regulatory compliance, and participant safety requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, emotional presence, and composure during extended dosing sessions.
Physical and Scheduling Requirements
  • Ability to remain present and attentive during extended dosing sessions that may exceed 8 hours.
  • Flexibility to work most weekdays during the hours of 8 AM to 6 PM, as needed
  • Ability to respond to participant needs throughout prolonged study visits.
