Job summary

Saia Motor Freight Line LLC in Elk Grove, CA is seeking a Supervisory Dock Operations leader responsible for overseeing safe and efficient terminal dock activities, directing dockworkers, and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.

You will train staff on safety, equipment usage, and customer service, review operations reports, and drive continuous improvement in terminal performance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• 5+ years of warehouse, freight, dock, forklift, or pallet jack experience.
• Forklift certification or hazmat training.

Responsibilities

• Oversees safe and efficient dock operations for all terminal staff.
• Directs and evaluates dockworkers to ensure proper use of equipment and adherence to procedures.
• Conducts daily inspections to maintain compliance with company policies, DOT standards, and other regulatory requirements.
• Trains and coaches dockworkers on safety practices, operational performance, customer service, and equipment usage.
• Reviews operational reports and provides recommendations to improve terminal efficiency and service.
• Promotes and enforces a safe, clean, and organized dock environment.
