WellMed, part of the Optum family, seeks a Director of Clinical Services to join our team in McAllen, TX. This leader will drive branch operations, home health services, and regulatory compliance across GSTX markets, ensuring safe, high-quality, cost-effective care.

You will supervise clinical and non-clinical staff, manage performance, coordinate care delivery, and partner with the health care team to meet patient needs and payer expectations while advancing organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health or business administration required.
• Registered Nurse with 6+ years in clinical leadership.
• 2+ years in home health.
• Recent experience in acute care or home care (within last 2 years).
• Knowledge of governmental home health agency regulations; strong organizational & communication skills.
• Must have reliable transportation; TB screening and immunization requirements.

Responsibilities

• Directs the daily operations of GSTX branches to ensure safe, quality, cost-effective care.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and adheres to company policies and procedures.
• Directs recruitment, hiring, and development of clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Manages care coordination, documentation, and payer-related requirements.
• Assists in annual market assessment, budget, and business planning.
• Oversees quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
