Job summary

ManpowerGroup seeks a Lead Dimensional Engineer in Foster City, CA, to own dimensional management for autonomous vehicle sensor integration across major programs. You will define datum schemes, allocate tolerances, and approve metrology fixtures to ensure precise assembly and alignment.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in dimensional management or metrology in automotive/robotics, with CATIA V6 and 3DEXPERIENCE proficiency and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in dimensional management, variation simulation, or metrology in automotive, aerospace, or autonomous robotics sectors.
• Proficiency in 1D/3D Dimensional Variation Analysis (DVA) stack-ups.
• Advanced knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T principles; experience creating and validating complex drawings.
• Experience using CATIA V6 and 3DEXPERIENCE for 3D visualization and interrogation.

Responsibilities

• Own dimensional management for multiple vehicle programs and sensor integration across architectures.
• Lead the definition of functional requirements and tolerance allocations for sensor mounting and alignment.
• Review and approve metrology fixtures to meet strict assembly and measurement standards.
• Develop and implement measurement and metrology strategies from part level to full vehicle assembly.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to assess capabilities and manage escalations.
