A leading multimedia news provider is seeking a Lead Producer for their Asia video team. This role involves writing, editing, and publishing video content, supervising fellow producers, and developing innovative formats for digital platforms. Candidates should have strong video editing skills and experience in a newsroom environment, with opportunities for professional growth and competitive benefits.
This is a key role within the Asia video team of the world’s largest international multimedia news provider. Reuters is looking for a lead producer with outstanding news judgement, excellent writing and editing skills, and extensive experience creating news and features for online and social platforms. This role involves deputizing for the Asia senior producer, including assigning, checking and publishing the work of other producers. Some shift and weekend working will be required as part of a roster pattern.
About the Role
As a Lead Producer, Reuters Packaged Video, you will
Write, edit and publish video content as directed by the senior producer
Deputize for the senior producer to supervise fellow producers
Know how to tell news and personal stories visually
Help develop formats and content ideas to suit digital and social platforms
Ensure your work and that of colleagues is accurate, timely and impartial
Be part of the global packaged video production team
About You
You're a fit for the role of Lead Producer, Reuters Packaged Video if your background includes :
Experience of working in a television or digital newsroom or video production unit
Strong video editing skills, preferably Adobe Premiere
A clear understanding of the different styles of digital and social platforms
Excellent written and spoken English
The ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
A track record of being a team player
