Job summary

Scripps Health is seeking a senior Digital Pathology Supervisor to lead the Digital Pathology section within the Histology Laboratory. You will ensure image accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance while coordinating training and cross‑functional collaboration.

In this exempt, salaried role, you will work with pathologists, histotechs, and IT to optimize workflows and drive continuous improvement, with potential MICP participation at the supervisor level.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a clinical histology laboratory with 2 of them in digital pathology
• Excellent written and strong verbal communication skills
• Critical thinking and analytical skills
• Graduation from college with a major in applicable natural or computer science
• HT(ASCP) certification preferred or required per role description

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Digital Pathology section
• Ensure accuracy, quality, accessibility, and integrity of digital pathology images and workflows
• Collaborate with pathologists, histotechs, leadership, IS, vendors, and stakeholders to optimize systems and drive improvements
• Coordinate and administer the Histology Training Program and maintain training records
