Job summary

CareCore at Willowood is seeking an experienced Dietary Director to lead the dietary department and enhance the dining experience for residents. The role requires strong leadership to oversee operations, supervise staff, ensure meals meet dietary needs, and maintain compliance with food service regulations.You will collaborate with Nursing and other departments, manage budgeting and inventory, and prepare for surveys while promoting quality, safety, and excellent resident service.

Qualifications

• Previous dietary management or supervisory experience, preferably in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting.
• ServSafe Manager Certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively manage and develop a dietary team.
• Experience with healthcare food service is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the dietary department
• Supervise, train, and schedule dietary staff
• Ensure meals are prepared and served according to resident needs and dietary requirements
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, and facility food service regulations
• Monitor food quality, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards
• Manage food and supply ordering, inventory, and department expenses
• Collaborate with Nursing and other departments regarding resident dietary needs
• Maintain accurate dietary records and documentation
• Prepare the department for surveys and ensure continued regulatory compliance
