Thornapple Manor in Hastings, MI is seeking a Cook to prepare meals per established policies and standards, under the direction of the Food Service Director. This role supports resident meals, ensures food safety, and adheres to dietary guidelines.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in food service; ability to read menus, follow recipes, and work rotating weekends may be required. The position is full-time with a 7:00am-7:00pm shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous food service experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak English.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Review menus and assist in planning meals as needed.
• Prepare meals according to planned menus and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure meals are served on time and in compliance with portion control.
• Follow safety, sanitation and dietary policies in all food preparation.
