Job summary

CentraState Medical Center in Freehold, NJ is seeking a Lead Diet Clerk to ensure patient menus align with diet orders and are properly recorded. The role includes providing food counts to production and verifying meals and service times for each patient.

The Lead Diet Clerk will maintain records, track patient movement, and support the Diet Department in delivering accurate, timely meals within the acute care setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Food service experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong professional, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately takes verbal diet orders adjusting menu selection to meet order intent.
• Provides food counts to the production area to assure patient satisfaction and food availability.

CentraState Medical Center has an employment opportunity available for a Lead Diet Clerk. This role assures that all patient menus are correct and adjusted according to specific diet orders, and that all menus are present and recorded. The Lead Diet Clerk also provides food counts to Production.

Compensation Range: $16.00 - $25.60 per hour

The compensation above reflects the established range from CentraState Healthcare System (CSHS) for this position at the time the job was posted. CSHS considers many factors to determine compensation, including education, experience, skills, licenses, certification, and training. As such, team member compensation may fall outside this range.

Additionally, the compensation range reflects base salary and does not include extra shift rates or incentives tied to quality, productivity, etc., as applicable.
