Job summary

Clarke Power Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced diesel technician for full-time employment in the United States, with a focus on engines, transmissions, and related electrical systems.

The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining customer vehicles and diesel equipment to high safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include PMIs on tractors and trailers, engine and A/C repairs, and assisting or leading other technicians.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years diesel tech experience required.
  • Certificate or Degree from Diesel Training Program Preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with clean record and no major violations in recent years.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Repairs and maintains customer vehicles and mechanical equipment (engines, transmissions, etc.).
  • Perform PMIs on tractors, trailers and other diesel-powered equipment.
  • Perform engine, brake, drive train, electrical, and A/C repairs.
  • Assist and lead other technicians.

Join our team providing excellence in customer service and safety while providing fleet maintenance including engine, transmission, and electrical diagnosis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Repairs and maintains customer vehicles and mechanical equipment such as engines, transmissions, and other equipment by performing the following duties:
  • Perform PMIs on tractors, trailers and other diesel-powered equipment.
  • Perform all types of engine, brake, drive train, electrical, and A/C repairs.
  • Assist and lead other technicians
PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit.
  • The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance.
  • Must be able to read and write reports.
  • Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the last 3 years.
  • No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years (ie., DUI/DWI).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION:
  • Minimum 7 years diesel tech experience required
  • Certificate or Degree from Diesel Training Program Preferred
