Job summary

Schneider in Marysville, OH is seeking a Lead Diesel Technician to repair company tractors and trailers on the second shift, 2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. You will act as the shift decision-maker when the manager is not on duty.

You will diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical truck systems, perform inspections and preventive maintenance, and help develop associates' skills while promoting a safe, compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in diesel technology or related field, or a minimum of 4 years of diesel technician experience.
• Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Able to provide recommendations regarding maintenance and repair decisions.
• Able to manage and prioritize work to meet equipment needs.
• Able to work independently with little supervision.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.
