Job description

Excellent Opportunity - To assist in the development of Diesel Technicians while promoting safety and exceptional customer service. We promote education and on-the-job training to enhance skills and opportunities for growth.

Full time position - M-F day shift. Position includes generous benefits and 401k match.

Job Summary

Opportunity to use exceptional skills and knowledge to support overall business goals while mentoring and developing other technicians. Will work very closely with the management team to provide insight on overall shop operations.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic issues.
  • Work with management team to help assign proper techs to complete tasks.
  • Participate and complete Manufacturing training to obtain certifications.
  • Help assure staff is working safely, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Provide input on Technicians development.
  • Perform repairs as needed.
  • Mentor technicians to provide guidance to enhance their overall development.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to work on trucks, climbing into and out of, crawling under to make repairs.
  • Ability to work safely and promote safety in the workplace.
  • Ability to teach less seasoned technicians.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to use PC to update work order status and explain maintenance and repairs.
  • Ability to explain verbally and in written form the status of work orders.
  • Ability to keep management aware of any concerns on the floor.
  • Must be dependable.

Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical, electrical experience.
  • Refrigeration unit experience a plus.
  • CDL B, or willingness to obtain in 120 days.
  • State Inspection License, a plus.
  • ASE Certifications, preferred. Our goal would be to have this individual fully certified.
