Job summary

Avalon Transportation LLC in Beaumont, TX is seeking a Lead Diesel Bus Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of motorcoaches. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and reliability for customer use.

Requirements include lead-level bus maintenance experience, a tech school diploma or ASE certifications, and ability to supervise the Beaumont team while managing multiple tasks.

Qualifications

• Lead-level bus maintenance experience; Class A CDL not required but helpful
• Tech school diploma or degree, ASE certs, or equivalent military maintenance training
• Required certs and demonstrated qualifications to perform safety-sensitive maintenance on passenger buses
• 3+ years of diesel or automotive repair experience

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on bus systems.
• Complete preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed.
• Conduct test drives to verify repairs are effective.
• Provide day-to-day direction and support to the Beaumont technician.
