The role emphasizes supervision, staff training, procedure standardization, and equipment QA/QC. Primary duties include staff orientation, competency-based performance management, scheduling, and liaison with Radiologists, Biomedical Engineering, and vendor representatives.

Responsibilities

• Orientation and training of staff.
• Coordinate and evaluate new or modified procedures and instruct staff on specialized tasks.
• Maintain competency checklists and participate in performance appraisals.
• Communicate counseling and corrective actions and performance improvement plans.
• Coordinate with affiliates to supervise and train student technologists.
• Schedule appointments to optimize workload while allowing for emergencies.
• Manage supplies and inventory control for workload demands.
• Oversee QA/QC in Diagnostic Radiology and coordinate repairs and vendor reviews.
• Ensure documentation accuracy and adherence to policies and SOPs.
• Supervise operation of imaging equipment and liaise with Biomedical Engineering.
