Lead Diagnostic Medical Sonographer- MFM

Description

Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures on patients of all ages, following approved protocols, ultrasound safety standards, and established exam indicators. Schedules procedures, obtains patient history, evaluates exam requests, and assists perinatologists. Maintains knowledge of equipment, instruments, and supplies to ensure high-quality exams. Communicates effectively with patients of all ages and mental capacities. Some travel between sites is expected.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Associate degree in Science or Allied Health Field (e.g., Nursing, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, Cardiovascular Technologist).
  • Bachelor’s degree in science preferred.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with OB/GYN and Nuchal Translucency (NT) registry by The Fetal Medicine Foundation.
  • Fetal Echo (FE) certification preferred.
  • Radiologic Technologist registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network.
