540 is seeking a Lead DevSecOps Engineer to lead and mentor a team of DevSecOps engineers, focusing on developing secure, scalable, and automated solutions for the DoD's Air Force integration platform using Apigee and Google Cloud (GCP).

Location

Remote within the continental United States. Must be willing to work East Coast hours with some flexibility.

Citizenship & Clearance

Must be a US Citizen able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, per client requirements.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related engineering field (preferred).

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience leading and managing DevSecOps teams.
• 7+ years with Cloud Service Providers (AWS, GCP, Azure), with GCP preferred.
• 5+ years creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of containerized applications and microservices (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Configuration management (Ansible, Puppet).
• Experience deploying in DoD or federal environments requiring IA certification.
• Deep understanding of DevSecOps best practices.
• Strong networking knowledge.
• Proficiency with Git and Gitflow workflow.
• Currently holds Security+ certification; ability to obtain additional certifications within 2 months.
• Proficiency with macOS.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Database technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• API Gateways (Apigee, Kong, Tyk).
• Experience securing sensitive data and working with DoD security standards.
