Job description

ManTech seeks a highly skilled and knowledgeable Lead Dev Sec Ops Engineer responsible for security integration within development and deployment processes across multiple applications in a hybrid cloud environment. This position is located on the customer site in Washington D.C.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead DevSecOps engineering for the program and lead a team supporting multiple applications using various technologies deployed in a hybrid cloud environment.
2. Develop and maintain version control best practices-based CM systems (e.g., GIT), including branching and merging strategies.
3. Develop, monitor, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, fine-tuning performance to meet evolving requirements from development teams, customers, and stakeholders.
4. Responsible for infrastructure as code (IaC) initiatives; develop and refine IaC templates to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management.
5. Identify performance trends, patterns, and optimization opportunities in non-production and production data for proactive problem identification and resource allocation; provide stakeholders with real-time system health and performance insights.
6. Coordinate and automate deployments across environments, ensuring smooth transitions from development to staging to production; manage release cycles with proper versioning and documentation.
7. Install and manage configurations for open-source monitoring and management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt).
8. Ensure DevSecOps processes and SOPs for Agile (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) and DevSecOps methods are documented and maintained.
9. Collaborate with cybersecurity team for integration and compliance with program security standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline preferred.
2. 10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years as a Senior/Lead DevSecOps Engineer.
3. Possess an AWS or Azure DevOps Engineer certification.
4. Hands-on experience with AWS IaC (e.g., CloudFormation, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform) or Azure IaC (e.g., ARM templates, Bicep, Azure Resource Manager, Azure PowerShell, Azure CLI).
5. Proficiency with JSON, J2EE, jQuery, JavaScript, Maven, PHP, or similar technologies.
6. Experience with Oracle Database as a Service and MS SQL databases.
7. Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
8. Experience integrating Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker, and Kubernetes for automated deployment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering principles.

Security Clearance Requirements:

Must have a current/active Top Secret security clearance.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery.
• Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, including delivering presentations; must exchange accurate information effectively.
