Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Lead SRE to join our tech team and help shape the future of our geolocation technology. In this role, you will focus on improving the reliability, scalability, and performance of infrastructure and systems while ensuring their operational health.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other SRE’s, DevOps to design, automate monitoring alerting and auto-healing. Be a mentor to other engineers.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement software systems with reliability, scalability, and performance in mind.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of infrastructure-as-code (IaC).
• Setup and maintain monitoring tools; monitor system health, performance, and capacity via automation.
• Implement multi-AZ and optimize auto-scaling solutions in AWS to handle varying traffic loads and ensure seamless user experiences while maintaining costs.
• Proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact customers.
• Respond to and troubleshoot incidents, outages, and degradations by troubleshooting, diagnosing and mitigating; identify root causes, and implement preventative measures.
• Ensure the system’s uptime, minimize downtime and maintain our SLA
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and drive automation for all deployments
• Implement security protocols in infrastructure, addressing vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of infrastructure, deployment pipelines and operational processes.
• **Participate in on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 system availability. **

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 8+ years of experience with AWS cloud platform, including setting up, building, managing and working day in and out using Infrastructure as code (IAC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Strong experience with orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes.
• Strong Experience in multiple programming languages (e.g. Python, Go, Java).
• Strong Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana,Cloudwatch, DataDog).
• Strong Knowledge of SRE best practices and principles (e.g., SLOs, SLIs, error budgets).
• Proven experience working with teams, fostering collaboration, and ensuring code quality using best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think both creatively and analytically.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a software development team and cross functionally
• A strong sense of ownership and accountability of the Company’s product
• A willingness to make decisions, exhibiting sound and accurate judgment
• AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)

Preferred skills

• Experience in the iGaming and/or Sports Betting industry.
• Start-up experience, with the ability to adapt quickly and drive projects to completion under time pressure.
