Job summary

Lab49/ION is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to design and deliver enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure for finance clients in New York. You will lead architecture, automation, and deployment of cloud-native platforms, collaborating with product, UX, and client teams.

The role requires 12+ years in cloud infrastructure, strong IaC with Terraform, AWS expertise, and experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins). On-site in Midtown Manhattan.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps experience.
• Expertise with Terraform to build scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Extensive AWS experience with container tech (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands-on CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, development, and deployment of DevOps workflows.
• Automate workflows using Terraform, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify.
• Collaborate with leadership to design enterprise DevOps solutions.
• Champion robust cloud architecture and best practices.
• Mentor development teams and drive continuous improvement.
• Align priorities and ensure stakeholder alignment.
• Communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Define and drive deployment and cloud service management practices.
• Lead evaluation and implementation of new cloud tools.
