Job summary

VTG seeks a Lead DevOps Engineer to join a 200+ FTE program delivering ICAM solutions. You will design and manage cloud-based pipelines, direct architecture decisions, and ensure 24/7 operations with on-call rotations.

The role requires TS/SCI with Polygraph, 11–15 years’ experience, and deep expertise in Linux, Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform, AWS, and CI/CD practices. Strong communication and Agile background are essential.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
• BA/BS degree with 11–15 years of relevant experience.
• Expert in Linux operating systems.
• Proficient with Jenkins, GitHub, and Terraform in DevOps environments.
• Extensive experience with SDLC and DevOps toolchains.
• Experience with JUnit testing and Agile development.
• Hands-on AWS services: CloudFormation, EC2, S3, RDS, VPC.
• Nexus administration experience.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient with Git, JIRA, Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Create and publish standard operating procedures for developers, DBAs, and support personnel.
• Manage full lifecycle of CI/CD pipelines and patch dependencies.
• Address POA&Ms and CVEs reported by ISSE by patching SBOM.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to operations and engineering staff.
• Harden operating systems with STIG or ISSM guidance.
• Automate deployment procedures for legacy systems.
• Provide Tier III/IV support in a complex mission environment.
