We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Developer. To be successful you will need deep knowledge and experience developing WordPress and a passion for security with demonstrable experience.

You can choose your own hours from 32 to 40 per week and work remotely from anywhere. We ask for 4 hours of UK working hours overlap per day.

Day‑to‑day role
  • Work in PHP, JavaScript and WordPress libraries to write clean, efficient and secure code
  • Line manage the plugin development team
  • Ensure tasks are assigned, reviewed, and completed by the team
  • Maintain high technical standards in the code base
  • Utilise senior developer knowledge to guide the plugin direction
  • Identify priorities, resolve blockers
  • Act as the key point of contact for technical queries related to the plugin
  • Liaise with QA and Product Managers to align development work with business goals

Your exact responsibilities may vary depending on experience and team fit.

Requirements
  • PHP – experience developing in WordPress, especially plugin development
  • JavaScript – important but secondary
  • Online security – stay updated with latest web threats and security issues
  • Firewalls or other security technologies
  • Managing other developers

Nice to have: Experience with GitHub / GitLab / Git; can be learned quickly.
