World Wide Technology (WWT) is seeking a Lead Developer for the IT - Supply Chain team at its St. Louis, MO headquarters. You will lead the design, development and deployment of software across order management and procurement, mentoring engineers and driving technical rigor.
The role requires a hands-on, AI-focused leader who partners with Architecture and Delivery leadership to ensure scalable, high-quality solutions while advancing engineering maturity across the organization.
PLEASE NOTE: This position requires permanent U.S. work authorization. Candidates requiring current or future visa sponsorship, including those on OPT, CPT or H1/H4, are not eligible for this role. This role is not open for staffing partners or corp-to-corp candidates.

World Wide Technology, Inc. currently has an opportunity available for a Lead Developer on the Order Management and Procurement team in the IT - Supply Chain organization, located at our headquarters in St. Louis, MO. The Order Management and Procurement Team lies at the heart of our supply chain, playing a critical role in building and supporting the systems that ensure the reliable and seamless creation and management of over one million orders annually. Collaborating closely with our business stakeholders, we develop solutions that drive efficient and effective operations at scale.
Successful candidates will have a background in full stack development and will be responsible for leading the translation of business needs into IT solutions with current programs, projects, and initiatives in mind. The Lead Developer is a hands‑on technical leader who partners closely with Solution Architecture and Delivery leadership to ensure solutions are executed with engineering rigor, maintainability, and performance in mind. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, highly innovative, and has a passion for learning both business and technical processes. This position also includes leading development efforts, mentoring developers, and contributing to strategic planning and execution.

The Lead Developer sets the technical tone and pace for the team - driving coding standards, enforcing best practices, mentoring developers, and ensuring delivery commitments are met without sacrificing quality. This individual plays a critical role in elevating engineering maturity across the team.
This role is expected to adopt an AI‑first mindset, actively leveraging modern AI‑powered development tools to improve development speed, code quality, testing effectiveness, and overall delivery outcomes.
Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of the salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $122,800 to $153,500 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that are not included in the base pay.
