Job summary

Segula Technologies in Auburn Hills, MI seeks a Design Release Lead Engineer for Electric Power Steering (EPS) to own the design release and validation of steering systems. This role drives program timing, reports to engineering leadership, and collaborates with suppliers and manufacturing teams.

You will lead end-to-end release, establish test plans, and pursue cost reduction while maintaining performance and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading design release for steering systems (EPS).
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and project timing.
• Strong problem solving in quality, cost, and manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end engineering design, NX packaging, and release of EPS steering systems and related hardware.
• Manage program development, track milestones, and report status with recovery plans.
• Establish test plans for components and systems; execute validation at system and vehicle level.
• Drive continuous quality improvement and cost reduction across steering commodities.
• Perform root-cause analysis for steering performance and NVH issues.
• Coordinate with Tier-1 suppliers, purchasing, quality, and manufacturing to meet targets and schedules.
