Job summary

ALSTOM Gruppe is seeking a Lead Design Engineer for New Castle, DE, to drive testability and repairability for NGHST and legacy Acela projects. You will lead failure analyses, develop bench tests, and optimize component repair strategies, reporting to the NGHST Project Engineering Manager.

Required are a strong electrical background, hands-on railway experience, and at least 3 years in an engineering role. On-site with some remote flexibility; travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Strong electrical background and PCB design exposure.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an engineering-related field, preferably in rail.

Responsibilities

• Manage testability and repairability for NGHST and Legacy Acela components.
• Develop test procedures and specify bench test equipment.
• Perform make vs buy analysis to control costs.
• Conduct failure analysis for components under repair.
