Job summary

Yahoo Holdings Inc. is seeking an experienced engineer-designer to help shape the next generation of interactive tooling.

You will design and ship core UI interactions, motion, and design-system driven components that power AI-assisted generation and direct manipulation within our platform. You will partner with design and product teams to iterate features from user feedback, upholding pixel-perfect craft, accessibility, and performance standards while delivering production-quality

Qualifications

8+ years of experience shipping interactive tools.
Strong React and TypeScript in production.
Typography, layout, color, spacing, hierarchy expertise.
Deep understanding of motion and visual feedback.
Ability to articulate design decisions and tradeoffs.
Experience with design systems.
Portfolio showcasing live interactive apps.

Responsibilities

Design and build core interactions: selection, direct manipulation, panel layouts, keyboard navigation, AI states.
Shape visual language: layout, hierarchy, typography, motion, component states.
Own interactive and motion authoring and previews within the platform.
Ship production-quality code using React and TypeScript with CI workflows.
Collaborate with internal product teams to iterate from user feedback.
Raise accessibility, performance, and UI standards across the org.
Bridge design and engineering, surface issues, propose solutions, seek feedback.
