Job summary

Lane & Associates Family Dentistry in Garner, NC is seeking a Head Dental Assistant to support the dentist, supervise the clinical team, and ensure smooth daily operations. You will manage inventory, train new staff, and serve as OSHA and Radiation Safety Officer to uphold safety standards and patient care.

You will also oversee invoices, collaborate with labs, and promote excellent patient experiences while maintaining budget and compliance in a busy practice environment.

Qualifications

• Dental Assistant Certification is required.
• Valid North Carolina X-Ray Certification is required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift 15–20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee the day-to-day workflow of clinical staff.
• Place supply orders and monitor inventory usage to maintain proper stock levels.
• Follow established budget protocols and maintain supply expenses within office budget.
• Verify and submit all supply invoices to the Accounting Department.
• Verify and submit lab invoices; communicate with dental labs as needed.
• Train, mentor, and support new clinical team members.
• Serve as the OSHA and Radiation Safety Officer, ensuring full compliance.
• Enforce OSHA regulations and Company Safety Policies & Procedures.
• Promote 5-star Google reviews by encouraging excellent patient experiences.
• Share clinical maintenance duties as required.
• Perform all regular Chairside Dental Assistant duties.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
