The position emphasizes governance, curriculum oversight, and student support, with a strong emphasis on leadership and program quality. Eligibility requires a Colorado-recognized CDA/EDDA and relevant dental experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant program or 3 years of related training/experience.
• Minimum of three years of full-time, practical dental assisting experience.
• Current CDA (DANB) or EDDA credentials as recognized in Colorado.
• Expertise in four/six-handed dentistry and OSHA/infection control knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Program Advisory Board meetings and report on student progress.
• Lead curriculum reviews and updates to reflect current standards.
• Mentor faculty to ensure instructional quality.
• Maintain Program Effectiveness Plans (PEP) annually.
• Deliver engaging instructional lessons using varied teaching methods.
• Provide timely feedback on assignments and clinical work to students.
• Supervise labs and demonstrations, ensuring mastery of four/six-handed dentistry.
• Maintain accurate student progress and attendance records.
• Ensure OSHA and infection control standards and oversee externships.
