Job summary

US Department of Veterans Affairs – Ernest Childers Outpatient Clinic, Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System, is seeking a Lead Dental Assistant. You will plan and complete dental tasks per established protocols, working independently with a dentist's support as needed and informing the supervisor with recommendations.

The role includes coordinating clinical workflow, supervising staff dental assistants, and contributing to program development and outcome management.

Qualifications

• Citizenship required.
• Six months experience or 1-year CODA-accredited program.
• DANB certification desirable; not required for entry
• BLS certification desirable
• Radiologic credentialing required or certified radiographer standards are met

Responsibilities

• Plan and complete dental tasks per established protocols.
• Work independently with dentist support as needed.
• Inform supervisor of issues with recommendations; assist in workflow of clinic.
• Provide instruction and oversight to staff dental assistants; coordinate patient care plans.
