Job summary

1st Classic Dental in Sun City, AZ seeks a Lead Dental Assistant to take ownership of operatory workflow and help the team deliver exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will lead daily clinical operations, assist with restorative and cosmetic procedures, and train staff as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of dental assisting experience preferred.
• Arizona Radiology Certification required.
• CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a lead assistant and support daily clinical operations.
• Assist the dentist during restorative and cosmetic procedures.
• Ensure excellent patient care and a welcoming experience.
• Maintain efficient and organized clinical workflow.
• Train and support team members as needed.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays).
• Manage infection control, sterilization, and instrument maintenance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Serve as a lead assistant and provide support during daily clinical operations
• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including restorative and cosmetic procedures
• Ensure excellent patient care and create a comfortable, welcoming experience
• Help maintain an efficient and organized clinical workflow
• Train and support team members as needed
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Manage infection control, sterilization, and instrument maintenance
• Prepare and break down operatories
• Educate patients on post-operative instructions and oral hygiene
• Use digital scanners and assist with digital dentistry workflows
• Take impressions and assist with lab communication as needed

Requirements:

• 3+ years of dental assisting experience preferred
• Arizona Radiology Certification required
• CPR Certification required
• Experience working in a fast-paced dental environment
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and clinical workflows
• Dentrix experience preferred
