Job summary

Dr. Blankenship is opening a brand-new dental practice in Saline and seeks a Dental Assistant who is energetic, reliable, and patient-focused. You will support the dentist during procedures, manage back-office operations, and help ensure a welcoming patient experience.

• 1+ years of dental assisting experience required.
• Proficiency with iTero or similar scanners a plus.
• Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental software preferred.
• Skilled in taking temporaries and assisting in restorative procedures.
• Strong knowledge of sterilization and infection control.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable with reliable transportation.
• Friendly, energetic personality and a true team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Lead and support back-office daily operations to ensure efficiency and flow.
• Train, coach, and mentor dental assistants on clinical protocols and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, infection control, and safety standards.
• Oversee operatory setup/breakdown and instrument sterilization.
• Take and review diagnostic X-rays as needed.
• Manage clinical supply inventory and ordering within budget guidelines.
• Support schedule flow to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
• Provide patient education and ensure a high-quality patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Tuesday: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
