Job summary

Benevis is seeking a Lead Dental Assistant to serve as the clinical team leader at the Norfolk office. You will support the office manager and doctors with daily operations, patient flow, and delivering high-quality care in a compassionate environment.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of dental assisting experience, a demonstrated ability to supervise, and relevant certifications (SC X-ray, Nitrous Oxide, CPR-BLS). Join a team dedicated to community smiles and excellent patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited senior high school or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a dental assistant.
• Demonstrated supervisory ability.
• SC X-ray certification, Nitrous Oxide certification, CPR-BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the office delivers quality and compassionate care to every patient
• Assist professional dental staff with treatment regularly
• Assist Office Manager in optimizing office efficiency, teamwork, scheduling, and staffing of dental assistants
• Provide excellent customer service by ensuring Patient Flow is running efficiently and space is available for Same Day Care
• Assist with recruiting and hiring, and be responsible for training new dental assistants
• Uphold office integrity by adhering to government regulations and company standards
• Guide parents through processes before treatment, educate in oral hygiene, and provide postoperative instructions
• Ensure operational readiness of the clinical section of the office
• Ensure dental equipment works properly and coordinate with suppliers and service technicians
• Order dental supplies and manage inventory
• Maintain high integrity by following government regulations, company standards and compliance programs
• Other duties as assigned

We are actively seeking a Lead Dental Assistant to join our growing team! As the Clinical Team Leader (Lead Dental Assistant) you will be the clinical leader at the office level responsible for providing support to the office manager for the day-to-day functions of the dental office and to the doctors for clinical treatment. Support our mission to providing excellent dental care in the community and help us create more smiles and memorable experiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist professional dental staff with treatment regularly
• Assist the Office Manager in optimizing the efficiently of the office to better serve our patients through building teamwork and scheduling patients and staffing dental assistants effectively
• Provide excellent customer service by ensuring Patient Flow is running efficiently and ensure the office is making space to offer Same Day Care
• Assist with the recruiting and hiring, as well as responsible for the training of new dental assistants
• Responsible for upholding the office to the highest integrity by adhering to all government regulations and company standards
• Ensure all parents are guided through our processes before treatment, are educated in oral hygiene instruction, and are provided postoperative instructions.
• Responsible for the operational readiness of the clinical section of the office
• Responsible for ensuring dental equipment is working properly and be point of contact with supply representatives and service technicians.
• Responsible for ordering dental supplies and managing inventor
