Job summary

Thrive Market is seeking a Director of Demand Planning to lead forecasting, strengthen Sales Operations Planning, and expand planning tools in our supply chain. You will translate inputs into actionable forecasts, build models in Anaplan, and unite teams around a shared execution plan.

This role blends deep analytics with hands-on system building and cross-functional leadership to connect demand to inventory, fulfillment, transportation, and capacity decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading demand planning or forecasting in ecommerce, grocery, subscription commerce or similar.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with ability to translate data into decisions.
• Hands-on experience building and enhancing Anaplan models.
• Experience linking forecast to inventory, capacity, and financial planning.

Responsibilities

• Own the demand forecasting process to support inventory availability and planning.
• Track forecast accuracy, investigate variances, and refine models.
• Lead a cross-functional S&OP cadence aligning demand, supply, capacity and financial goals.
• Enhance demand forecast models and develop planning tools across labor, transportation, and space planning.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Marketing, Growth, Finance, and Operations to gather inputs and maintain a shared view of demand.
• Translate forecast changes into actions for purchasing, staffing, transportation, and fulfillment.
• Set priorities, coach team members, and increase visibility of the demand planning function.
• Establish planning assumptions, reporting, and workflows that scale with growth.
