A leading company in data and analytics is seeking a Lead Delivery Manager in Ann Arbor. This role involves delivering technical software solutions within an Agile environment, collaborating across departments, and mentoring team members. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in project management and Agile methodologies, driving improvements and handling responsibilities from planning to execution.
Lead Delivery Manager, Master Data Center Inc. d/b/a Clarivate Analytics (US) LLC, Ann Arbor, MI
Duties: Develop and deliver complex, business-critical, cross-functional technical assignments for software applications in an Agile/Scrum Development Environment. Plan and deliver technical software solutions built on the Microsoft technology stack. Guide all phases of program execution—from planning, requirements gathering, delivery, release management, to support—and collaborate with program management, product teams, finance, and technology departments. Analyze delivery risks and issues, providing high-level software expertise to develop solutions that address or mitigate these issues. Develop and implement technical plans, perform and oversee software maintenance and testing, and document upgrades and implementations for future reference. Drive improvements in workflow efficiency and waste reduction, both within teams and across the organization. Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies, mentoring team members accordingly. Communicate risks, challenges, and project updates through regular reports to stakeholders and executives. Draft comprehensive project plans to monitor milestones and timelines. Lead initiatives to visualize and improve workflows and coach teams on best practices. Collaborate with DevOps teams to establish automation frameworks for deployments. Demonstrate effective planning and forecasting at both ticket and project levels, balancing proactive and reactive approaches. Prioritize scope and resources effectively, providing reliable input for decision-making. Act as an escalation point within teams, resolving issues and advising senior management. Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives. Mentor junior staff. Note: No hiring or firing authority.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 10 years of relevant experience, including Software Development Lifecycle, Project Management, Metrics and Reporting, Resource Planning, Mentoring, and Knowledge of Intellectual Property lifecycle. Proven experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban), Release and Risk Management, Jira, and Confluence. Skilled in cross-team collaboration, managing multiple complex projects, and engaging with stakeholders at all levels. Strong communication skills and experience with executive reporting. Position is fully remote.
