The Delivery Driver Lead is responsible for the quality and efficiency of the delivery drivers and their operations.

In this high impact role, you will serve as a liaison between long term care facilities and delivery staff. You will train all transport personnel.

In this role you will:

  1. Coordinate work schedules and delivery routes
  2. Monitor work flow to analyze patterns and trends
  3. Review and set standards for staff
  4. Provide timely and accurate delivery of medication, equipment, products and/or supplies into long term care facilities or patient’s homes
  5. Conduct routine staff meetings

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Train all transportation personnel
  2. Coordinate work schedule and delivery routes
  3. Monitor work flow, analyze patterns and trends
  4. Conduct routine staff meetings
  5. Respect the privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient information and property
  6. Access only the minimum amount of patient protected health information needed to perform your duties
  7. Coordinate all special deliveries with the operations supervisor on duty
  8. Maintain vehicles in good and safe condition to comply with DOT, OSHA, state and federal regulations, and Omnicare policies and procedures
  9. Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA
  10. Display behavior which exemplifies employee code of conduct guidelines
  11. Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary by location
  12. Ensure shipments are accurate and deliveries are timely
  13. Perform physical inventories
  14. Sort all baskets from V2 according to facility units, location, and delivery times
  15. Scans all medication pending for delivery
  16. Prepares manifests and ancillary paperwork to correspond to appropriate nursing facility
  17. Retrieve medication totes from PVII pharmacists that are to be scanned for delivery (STATs included)
  18. Check bins before delivery departure for missed meds
  19. During down times assist pharmacy floor for additional support
  20. Scans manifests into system for confirmation of delivery
  21. Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA
  22. Take important steps to ensure all medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met for our patients and they demonstrate ethical conduct and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
  23. Maintain and full compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations
  24. Maintain highest professional and ethical standards

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is: $18.50 - $31.72. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
