Job summary

Sugar Grove Developmental Day School in North Carolina is seeking an experienced and energetic Lead Daycare Teacher to nurture children's intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. You will manage daily attendance, ensure NC Rules and Regulations compliance, implement ITERS/ECERS standards, develop weekly lesson plans, communicate with parents and staff, supervise

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• AA degree in Early Childhood Education or related field; Bachelor’s preferred; or working towards a degree.
• Experience in a licensed Early Childhood facility.
• CPR and First Aid training, or plan to obtain within first 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Must be on time for work daily. Check in and out to ensure a correct record of time worked.
• Maintain an accurate daily attendance of children in your care.
• Must have knowledge of NC Rules and Regulations; Lead Teachers must ensure staff in their room follow them.
• Must have knowledge of ITERS/ECERS Environmental Rating Scale or obtain training within 6 months; uphold standards in each classroom.
• Create a weekly written lesson plan that stimulates social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development; plan must be current and accessible to parents.

Education

AA degree in Early Childhood Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred
