Daniels Associates, Inc. is seeking a Lead Database Administrator to work in Indianapolis, IN.

Job Description

The Lead Database Administrator will be responsible for leading a team of senior DBAs, ERP, and Business Intelligence Administrators supporting and modernizing the existing data platform and ecosystem. Responsibilities include supporting various application services for implementing database management systems, providing leadership, innovation, and strategic support for the application portfolio and operations. The role ensures quality coding across all database efforts related to enterprise database implementations. As a Tower Lead, the DBA will be the first escalation point for tower activities, including production escalations, and will represent the tower in daily and weekly stand-up meetings. The lead will oversee upgrades and implementations of database technologies, collaborate with stakeholders for backlog review and prioritization, and support tower activities such as documentation standards and governance processes. The role also involves supporting SLAs related to incident response and resolution. Remote work is permitted, with weekly client site visits.

Job Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  2. 120 months of experience in developing data management solutions and strategies, and 48 months of experience creating enterprise-class end-to-end data management systems in on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  3. 96 months of experience working with Oracle and SQL Server databases.
  4. 60 months of experience leading a DBA team supporting various RDBMS platforms on-premises and in the cloud (preferably Microsoft Azure).
  5. 24 months of experience working with and leading teams in ERP solutions such as PeopleSoft HCM and FIN, including support for PUM updates, PeopleTools updates, and Tax updates.
  6. 24 months of experience migrating on-premises databases to the cloud using native tools and Azure cloud tools.
  7. Certification in database technology is required.
