The Control-M Admin (mainframe) will be responsible for installation, setup and modifications to the application. Along with scheduling and monitoring of jobs and scripts for both the mainframe and distributed environments. The person will also work on other engineering activity. Perform installation and setup of control-M in a z/OS mainframe environment Create and modify simple top complex scheduling Monitoring of processing and failures Able to understand and perform complex job and script scheduling Analyze and implement scheduling dependency relationships Perform scheduling dependency and issue analysis Utilize the BMC control-M product ad ons Create and modify jobs and scripts Perform engineer and operational activities Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Control-M Admin expertise which includes ability to install and setup Knowledge of JCL and mainframe utilities Knowledge of XML files Webservices Knowledge a plus SQL/ DB2 Knowledge is a plus Java knowledge is a plus Python Knowledge is a plus Linux/zLinux knowledge is a plus Excel skills and expert level formula writing ability to include if/then statements, vlookups, sumif(s), countif(s), etc. Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands Critical Thinking – ability to approach problems logically and make informed decisions based on data.
