Job summary

OneSix is a leading data and AI consultancy hiring a Lead Data Scientist to embed with client teams as a senior technical partner. This player-coach role blends rigorous predictive modeling with production engineering, from causal estimates to Spark-based pipelines.

Work with client data science teams to understand user behavior and business outcomes. You’ll handle complex data, messy sources, and provide timely, trust-building insights to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in predictive analytics or ML with production deployment.
• Fluency in GLMs, econometrics, causal inference, and time-series forecasting.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and production ownership.
• Proficiency with SQL, Spark, and Python in a production setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and validate predictive models from GLMs to deep learning.
• Apply causal inference to move stakeholders toward data-driven decisions.
• Own end-to-end lifecycle: analysis, deployment, monitoring, retraining.
• Write production-grade SQL, process data at scale with Spark, deploy models in Python.
• Translate business questions into scoped modeling tasks and communicate findings.
