Job summary

Poshmark is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to drive personalization, trust & safety, marketing optimization, and product experience. You will own the ML lifecycle from data exploration to deployment, building scalable models for feeds, recommendations, and vision tasks.

You will work with ML engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions. Strong Python/SQL/Spark skills and DL framework experience are required.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience building scalable data science solutions in large data environments.
• Hands-on with CNNs, Transformers and Vision Transformers.
• Proficient in Python, SQL and Spark (Scala or PySpark); experience with DL frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Strong foundations in linear algebra, statistics, probability and A/B testing.
• Excellent ability to communicate complex technical ideas to diverse audiences, including executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data science initiatives from ideation to deployment with measurable business impact.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to design and deploy high-impact models.
• Develop scalable solutions for product, marketing, operations, and community functions.
• Own the ML development lifecycle: data exploration, model development, deployment and monitoring.
• Explore and prototype emerging AI trends to maintain cutting-edge capabilities.
