Job summary

Poshmark is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to drive end-to-end data science initiatives across product, marketing, and operations. You will own model development, deployment, and optimization while collaborating with ML engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to deliver measurable business impact.

You will leverage CNNs, Transformers, and Vision Transformers, with Python, SQL, and Spark, to build scalable solutions in a fast-paced fashion.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience building scalable data science solutions in a big data environment.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning algorithms including CNNs, Transformers, and Vision Transformers.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark (Scala or PySpark), with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Strong understanding of linear algebra, statistics, probability, calculus, and A/B testing concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to communicate complex ideas to executives and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data science initiatives from ideation to deployment with measurable business impact.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with ML engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to design and deploy high-impact models.
• Develop scalable solutions for product, marketing, operations, and community functions.
• Own the ML lifecycle: data exploration, model development, deployment, and performance optimization.
• Explore and experiment with emerging AI trends to keep Poshmark at the cutting edge.
